My home. Please come back!!!! Heck, come stay as long as you want and hang out at the studios. I have plenty of room. We'll go out and listen to all the studio musicians that play locally. Love the show. Hi to Slick Rick.
I was a drummer in several bands in the late 60s through the mid 70s. I knew a few people back in the day . I still to this day remember meeting Barry Bailey when he and most of the members of Atlanta Rythem Section walked into a club where my band Bittersweet was playing.
I met the members of Nazareth a couple of times in different cities when they were on their debut tour of the US. Nice people they were and when they were three sheets in the wind you could not understand a word they were saying. Slurred Welch language - forget it -
Anyway - lots about Muscle Shoals I don't know about, and also Capricorn Records a giant that just came to a sudden end .
I don't know where you're located, but if you're into music check out the shoals and do the studio tours if you're ever down this way. A lot of good studio musicians play around town. Have a good day.
Definitly watch the documentary Damon mentioned "Muscle Shoals" if you've never seen it. Mind blowing, lots of stuff I didn't know and I grew up here.
And now we also know the meaning about the lyrics in "Sweet Home Alabama" " Muscle Shoals got the Swampers.
Cut and paste this on an email to Damon at the email address- LFS6B @ yahoo. com your post here might not be read.
